My Therapeutic Approach

I believe that every person is unique, and because of this, therapy should never be a one-size-fits-all experience. My approach is integrative, meaning I draw upon a range of evidence-based therapeutic models to create a personalised approach that best meets your individual needs, experiences, and goals.

At the heart of my practice is the belief that healing begins within a safe, trusting, and compassionate therapeutic relationship. I aim to provide a warm, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can speak openly, explore your thoughts and emotions, and feel genuinely heard and understood.

My work is primarily rooted in Person-Centred Therapy, which means I value empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you, supporting you as you gain insight, build confidence, and discover your own strengths.

Alongside this, I integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)-informed techniques to help identify unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaviour, develop healthier coping strategies, and work towards meaningful, lasting change. Where appropriate, I also incorporate mindfulness and grounding techniques to help clients manage stress, regulate emotions, and remain present during difficult moments.

I also work from a trauma-informed perspective, recognising that past experiences can significantly influence how we think, feel, and relate to ourselves and others. Therapy moves at your pace, ensuring you feel safe, respected, and empowered throughout the process.
